Garmin Forerunner Review – 410
www.tips4running.com My Garmin Forerunner Review is only about my Garmin 410 model with the heart strap. This is the first Garmin I have ever purchased, so I went into buying this with no previous knowledge on how a GPS watch works, and how effective they would be in helping me with my training. The bottom line is, I love my Garmin! This Garmin GPS Watch is amazing. The ultimate compliment that a runner can pay any gear they purchase is it keeps them motivated to keep on running. Here are some of the quirks of the Garmin Forerunner that I purchases. The hardest thing to get used to is the ring around the watch called the “Bezel” This is a touch sensitive part of the watch. When you tap the watch once, it will switch to a different display. If you hold your finger down on one of the four options, it will switch to that mode. For instance, if you hold your finger on menu, the main menu will pop up after a second of holding your finger on this place. The hardest thing to get used to was the scrolling on this watch. You have to run your finger around in a circle on the bezel to change different options. For instance in the video I change some of the requirements for an interval workout. To change the repetitions from 30 back down to 10, I had to spin my finger around on the watch until the number went down to 10. If you spin in the opposite direction, the number will go up. It took some getting used to, but once again, this was my first and is my only GPS Garmin Watch. I’m …

Thanks for making this video. I got one of these for my birthday, and your video is about one million times more helpful than the gaddamn owner’s manual.
@tommer725 Yeah after you run it shows a map of the places you traveled on Garmin Connect, or you can upload it to Running Ahead.
Does it show a map?
What a great video! Thanks!
@cicirunner I’m thinking it was about $350 with the heart monitor strap included. You can buy it without that though. It is a bit heavy. I don’t know the exact weight, but I don’t have a problem with it. My wife says she notices the weight as she runs. The newest Garmin model the 610 is lighter.
I really want this. How much was it and is it heavy? I don’t like running with heavy watches.
@Tips4Running dont listen to that other douche, great review thanks i think i may get this one over the 405
lol “Holy Buckets” i love it
@Tips4Running I think he was referring to your voice being monotone. Thanks for the vid though, the watch looks really helpful.
@judyabell1 Should I do some backflips or something it the vid? It’s just a watch, not a bounce house.
Is this the most boring guy on the planet?
This is an excellent review, the best I’ve seen. Well done on your endeavours, sir.
I will certainly be getting myself one of these bad boys – asap.
I really liked your review,
kinda let me know how the watch works and what its like, and now I’m thinking about getting one.
Good luck in your half marathon.
It takes some getting used to, but I like it now. There is a feature where you can lock the bezel so when you are running, you don’t accidentally switch modes.
Nice review. I have an old 305 and thinking of upgrading to this. Not sure about the bezel touch feature.
