Wahoo Fitness Blue HR- The First Bluetooth Smart Heart Rate Monitor
Wahoo Fitness introduces the Wahoo Blue HR- the world’s first Bluetooth Smart heart rate monitor. This is the first in a line of Bluetooth Smart products Wahoo plans to release in the coming months. The Wahoo Blue HR works natively with the iPhone 4S (without the need for any additional hardware, such as a dongle). It wirelessly sends heart rate information from the device to your iPhone in real time and can be read with the Wahoo Fitness app or any of our great partner apps, such as MapMyRun, Runkeeper, Runmeter and more! Coming soon to www.WahooFitness.com

When can I buy it on Amazon?
Just a question.. How close/far the iPhone can be to the wahoo device?
Work that with the runtastic App.?
Great Work!!! I wish you the best of luck…. and will be waiting for the next Bluetooth smart products, and for the perfect bundle for Bike/running. In the meantime I’ll stick to my Garmin (bike) and Polar (running)…. but can’t wait to see a Bluetooth Smart bundle, so I can only take my Iphone and nothing else with me!!! Great job, really really nice. The best of luck with your company
DANG YOU!!! I just bought the run/gym pack! Arrrggg. ;-(
Love the knew Blue HR Bluetooth heart rate monitor. Are you months away or just a few weeks? I’m really in need and I have the iPhone 4S so would rather have this one than the current version. Thanks!
@ali87sa the Blue HR runs on Bluetooth Smart (or Bluetooth 4.0) technology, which will not connect to a Bluetooth 2.1 device, unfortunately.
@TaylorR137 Wahoo Molly here. Bluetooth Smart technology is very efficient. It runs on a coin cell battery and is expected to last up to about a year (or about 300 hours of use… so it depends on how much you use it). It’s very similar to ANT+ in battery life. Thanks!
What kind of battery life can we expect with the Fitness Blue HR? I’m wondering if it will be capable of monitoring all day or only for several hours at a time.
Thanks!
@adammiarka Molly is doing the next one!
If I use the Cydia tweak which allows me to connect Bluetooth Heart Rate Monitors to the iPhone 4′s Bluetooth (4, Not 4S), will this Bluetooth 4.0 HRM use the low power connectivity? or will it work at Bluetooth 2.1 and drain the battery quicker?
67!?? You need to be more excited here..
Excellent! The dongle on the iphone was the only thing that put me off from buying one!
